Carol Setters doesn’t have a cookie-cutter bio. But then, she doesn’t have a cookie-cutter job.

Carol was married to a successful CEO for many years. During that time, she noticed patterns of behavior and perspectives that she, her husband, and the high achieving couples around them grappled with that greatly affected their relationships and their experience of life. These dynamics included the inability to handle power cleanly, the distractions, loss of purpose and the overwhelming choices that came with great wealth, and the loss of identity in the shadow of fame.

When her marriage ended, Carol wanted to help others learn from her mistakes, but quickly realized that no one had ever seriously isolated and studied these unique issues. Working with an organizational development company, she created a program similar to the ones that are used to help senior officers more successfully interact with their teams at work, only this program was designed to help them with “the team” that they lived with outside of their careers. This included a concerted focus on teaching spouses how to successfully interact with their ambitious partners without losing their identity or getting caught in power struggles.

Since that time, she has become so immersed in this niche that she no longer uses a program, but customizes her efforts to address exactly what the client or group requires.

Today Carol is sought after internationally by high achievers and their spouses through organizations such as YPO, and works with individuals and couples around the world to help them master the very unique dynamics of high achievement.

She has distinguished herself in this profession through real-life experience and carefully selected, intensely focused training programs that help her understand what makes people tick and how to help them access their true greatness. She is currently working on a graduate degree for her eventual sunset career as a spiritual advisor to policymakers.
